Doomer, born at 320 ppm with population at 3.3 billion, It’s the Overshoot, stupid. Humanity may be doomed, but we don’t need to lose our humanity.
Never going to get over Shapiro signing bombs.

This was an episode of the Twilight Zone. AI is going to cook us by speeding up global warming.

Somebody thought this was a good idea. From the Musee Mechaninque, an antique arcade game.

From Peter D Carter
INCREASED ARCTIC WETLAND EMISSIONS
Copernicus surface methane 1 July 2025
Global warming feedback methane emissions
IPCC does not account for wetlands.
This can only increase with accelerating warming, highest in the Arctic.

Reminds me of the story where a Zen monk was chased off a cliff by tigers. He’s hanging onto a branch as mice chew the branch. He’s going to die no matter what. He finds and eats a strawberry.

From comments: “Michael Mann is a Hero, all my Love & Respect goes out to Michael Mann.
You all show some Awe, there are a lot of people deserve our respect, Mann is for sure for everyone in the Top 10, …, there has to be a Monument with Michael Mann pointing onto a Diagram and this is no joke”

News journals need more photos like this when reporting on heatwaves. They keep making heatwaves look like a it’s just going to be a wonderful day to be outdoors.

It’s been beautiful in the San Francisco Bay Area. Enjoying it until we get our next heatwave. With the undulating jet stream, we can’t predict what’s going to happen. Old image below. I say that if you’re under a breast, you’re okay. If you’re in the cleavage, you’re out of luck. Mother nature.

Took a break from the doom-scrolling machine today. Instead of a scroll, I took a stroll, in the woods. Was a beautiful day! “When the situation is hopeless, there's nothing to worry about.” Edward Abbey (By way of Guy McPhearson)

Reminds me of “Bright-sided” by Barbara Ehrenreich (RIP). She saw toxic positivity as a cult connected it to evangelicals. The poor woman was suffering with breast cancer, and people kept insisting that she remain positive, or she would cause her cancer to get worse. She wasn’t having any of it.

“Massive amounts of CO2, methane and nitrous oxide are generated by our human agricultural practice”

“agriculture accounting for no less than SIXTY percent of all effective radiative forcing since seventeen fifty, and fossil fuels representing only eighteen percent”

We’re telling you that we don’t think Climate Change is that big of a deal because we don’t want our stocks to drop in value. Also, we’re going to be dead before it gets really bad, and you young suckers are going to have to deal with it.
