The question I always ask planners is: “This is great at moving people, but what are the people going to do when they get off the bus/train?” I ask because transit planning shouldn’t be focused only on connecting shopping centers, office parks, and airports. What’s to do along the way?

Cable news elicits that response by design. In normal times, the news, good or bad, should be unsurprising but interesting. Only rare stories should elicit an emotional response. If an outlet regularly causes such a response, then It is doing the news wrong.

That is indeed sad. A real man of integrity.

Raleigh is putting a lot of time, effort, and money into BRT when they could be doing more with light rail and basic bus infrastructure. It is not easy or convenient to travel by bus in Raleigh.

I always wonder what are they trying to bury?
