I was almost hit by a bus, I would of died if it wasn't for my mom. We were in the car and when she saw the bus coming up, she speed up and narrowly avoided it.

My mom, after the bus stopped, got on and started SCREAMING at him. Bus driver was fired a few days later after she made a few calls.

My mother had heart failure at the start of the summer and she has recently been diagnosed with more related to it that have worsened her quality of life.

Roughly a month ago if not a bit more, my mother was sent to the emergency room due to sudden heart failure and she had to have emergency surgery.

Since then, she has been thrown in and out of the ER many times, she has stayed at the hospital as a whole for weeks at a time and it really feels like a vicious cycle as they've only discovered and diagnosed her with more things since the HF, with most of them only coming to light a few days ago.

I won't bring up all of them or go too far into all of the diagnoses in detail as I want my mama to keep her dignity in what I share, but so far what we've learnt beyond her heart failure is...

She was already a partial wheelchair user, but since the HF she's been stiff and unable to walk well at all... She's been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis that is slowly going to stiffen her up, meaning she most likely will become a fulltime user; On top of that, she's been diagnosed with osteoarthritis as well, making it a bad stiffness combo.

• Due to her body fighting against taking calcium than regulating it, they're going to book her for a removal of her parathyroid gland.

This and many other things I haven't written about have hit our family like a heavy collision, as she is our matriarch.

I am currently her main caretaker, as I don't want my younger siblings to have to put their lives on a pause while I can afford to do that as the eldest. Don't worry, they still help out and our father takes longer shifts to help provide for her treatments and aid.

But I want to help more too, more than what I already do: And if commissions are the only way for me to do so right now, it will have to do, I can't leave her alone.
