We need this terribly. I’ve had far too many clients with devastating injuries caused by someone with only $25K in coverage. Imagine losing an eye or a leg - or your spouse - bc of someone else’s negligence, and then also be in debt to the hospital. NC has $50K going into effect this summer.

Anyone working in systems change knows this moment in history is about being half hospice and half midwife. The old system is dying, and the new one is coming into existence. It's a painful experience (as I after two home births can attest to). But the outcome is what we've been waiting for. #Banksy

Measuring progress by how many girls ride their bikes to school. Simple single number, still better than GDP. My buddy Katherine Trebeck wrote a blog last month for the Earth all Commission of the @clubofrome.org about indicators for a better world. Worth a read.

Here's an idea I heard someone mention.
Don't like your Republican Senator or Representative? Hold a town hall for them. Invite them. When they don't show, post it with the commentary about them being too cowardly to meet their constituents. Pose all the questions you want them to answer. Post it.

The current economic system is at its breaking point. This was forewarned, including by the authors of the 1970s book The Limits to Growth. Breakdown doesn't mean the end of humanity. So we'll need a new and better system afterwards. My proposal: a #wellbeingeconomy youtu.be/JfeRLwlnuHo?...

We used to wake up in the middle of the night and egg each other to go to Waffle House for pie and lots of coffee. Sometimes waffles- brought our own maple syrup and pretended We're Canadian with a flask of Bailey's. "That's ok dear, we brought our own creamer"

I was in a thrift store Saturday and saw this pillowcase. My late wife would've snatched this up, hand stitched and tatting. Dan River "Tranquale" pillowcase, made in Virginia. Of course I bought it.
