Fighting for working people. Mayor. Former House Dem Leader. Labor lawyer. Proud Michigander. Running for Congress in MI-10 to lower costs, raise wages and stand up to billionaires.
I am horrified and devastated by the shooting at Grand Blanc’s Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Imani and I are praying for the victims and for the entire Grand Blanc community. Violence in a place of worship is especially despicable.

The shooting of Charlie Kirk is deeply horrifying. Political violence has no place in our society, and my prayers go out to his family. We must come together as a nation to reject hatred and extremism.

It was a beautiful evening in Rochester Hills last night! Thank you to everyone who came out to share their concerns with our country's direction and to hear how I plan to be a fighter for middle class families in Washington!

60 years ago today, Medicare and Medicaid were created. It was a bipartisan accomplishment. Now, DC Republicans are ripping healthcare away from over ten million Americans. We need a fighter in Congress who will tell them to keep their damn hands off it. #MI10

I commend Tripp for his strength and service to our country. Veterans have been through Hell and deserve the best healthcare this country can provide, for both physical and mental health. I know Tripp will continue to be a valued and impactful leader in whatever he does next.

Some thoughts on Trump's bailout to billionaires this week.

DC Republicans are about to pass a law that will rip health insurance coverage away from 17 million people and raise energy costs on Michigan consumers. All to give billionaires another tax break. It's disgusting and wrong. End the "Let them Die" agenda.

Standing in solidarity with the UAW for a fair contract with Challenge Manufacturing! I will always stand up for working Michiganders!

People don't "get over" not having healthcare. They put off doctor visits, lack access to life saving medicine they need, and die younger than they should. We need new leadership in Washington to end this disgusting, let-them-die agenda.

Today, we protested in Roseville for American values: equality, rule of law, and most of all, democracy. I love our country and today, we embrace a better future for America.

It was great seeing the North Macomb County Democrats and getting to share my vision for a Washington that stands up for working people. Thank you for letting me come by and speak!

The megabill coming out of DC will kick 11 million people off their health insurance. People will die. In the State House, I successfully fought to expand Medicaid because it helped working families survive. Now I'm ready to go to Washington to fight back on this "Let them Die" agenda.

This barbaric terrorist attack is just the latest manifestation of hatred and violence against Jews in America. It must end now. People across the political spectrum must denounce this attack and the bigotry that motivated it. Antisemitism is unamerican, unacceptable, and must never be normalized.

I unequivocally condemn the horrific terrorist attack and murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers outside the American Jewish Committee event at the Capital Jewish Museum last night. This hatred has no place in our country. My prayers are with the victim's families.

One of my favorite things to do is take Duke out hiking! Michigan has beautiful parks and lakes and we need to do everything we can to ensure they remain that way. Duke will appreciate it and so will our children.
