I spent more than 15 years as a local news reporter but now I'm a public health graduate student. First novel completed in summer 2024. No, you can't read it. Because it's not good. I'm busy with schoolwork. Portfolio: https://timothychipp.me
If you lose to the worst team in the league, are you then the worst team in the league?

This stands for "Make America Functional Again"

"Give this kind of thing to a white guy?" Why? Why does this bullshit mentality exist in 2025? Who fucking cares if a white guy can win an award or not? Are you a contender passed over for the honor only for Vladdy to get it? Or are you just some closeted racist sitting in a dark corner somewhere?

After watching a bunch of YouTube videos about the game, I bought #Dispatch from @adhocstudio.com this afternoon. Full review will hit Steam tomorrow, as I need to chill with my thoughts for a bit. But to say it'll be an overwhelmingly positive review is an understatement. What a Phenomaman game.

So much for "Win it for Dahlin," huh, Sabres? I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up given this franchise's track record without their captain in the lineup. They're not fantastic with him. But without? Yikes. I just seriously hope his fiancée is able to fully recover and he gets back here soon.

Genuine question: Was Epstein ever convicted of his alleged sex crimes? Got a NYT email today about Prince Andrew getting his title stripped, and the details said Epstein was convicted. I thought he was awaiting trial, not sentencing. But maybe I'm wrong. Thought Maxwell was the only one convicted.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health!
Things in your control:
-Who you connect with
-Where you direct your energy and effort
-What you give your time and attention to
-How you respond (or whether you do)
-When you ask for help

I haven't been interested in the World Series beyond "Oh, hey, who won?" in decades! But I'd rather watch this series than football at this point. I NEVER thought I'd say this, but I can actually enjoy baseball now. That pitch clock rule REALLY helps.

If you read this headline, then click on the link, you might think that the story is about Springer's wife. But it takes 4 paragraphs to mention her name and three Seattle Mariners are named before she is. Such awful, disgusting writing.
George Springer's wife relives Blue Jays star's Game 7 heroics: 'My guy is built for the postseason'
George Springer’s wife can't get enough of his heroics following his three-run blast that sealed the Blue Jays' ALCS victory. Read more.

The Blue Jays did their best to bust the "T-Mobile Park is the worst place for hitters" narrative in just one game. Hoping they can keep this rolling for another couple games and keep that other narrative, the "Road Teams are the Winners these LCSes" one, alive.

Nothing says "badass" quite like giving your money to someone else for a cool sticker that says "Badass" on it. #sarcasm (in case you don't get it)

I fully believe this guy Jay Jones in Virginia needs to step out of the race. There's no room for stupidity among Democrats right now. None. Full stop. www.usatoday.com/story/opinio...

Conservatives are the target of real-life violence. The country is still reeling from the assassination of Charlie Kirk less than a month ago.

For Yankees fans (and national media pundits) singing Cam Schlittler's praises, thinking he's the savior and an automatic win, how'd he do on September 5 in New York? He's not unhittable, especially against Toronto. He was electric against Boston, but this isn't a Yesavage situation.

I have no personal reason to dislike New York sports teams. Yet, I do. I have reason to dislike Toronto sports teams, yet I don't. Except the Leafs. Go Blue Jays.

This baseball game is as one-sided as I have ever seen. And I love it. Get it, TO! KEEP GOING!

I actually get to watch a Blue Jays game on TV. And Gausman is throwing a gem.

Can someone please square with me how saying you're pro-something automatically means you're anti-something-else. I mean I happen to firmly believe that Israel deserves to be a country and the people deserve to live free from violence ...

I'm pretty sure, after watching a few other games, some of our competition this year had 12+ missed tackles on one play let alone one game. So I'm not at all worried about this. I think we're OK. We won by 12 in the NFL. And before anyone says "that's not good enough," yes it absolutely is.

We, as a society, really need to reconsider complaining about something that's boring. Boring-but-working shouldn't face scrutiny. The athletes involved aren't dancing monkeys. Want to scrutinize things? Scrutinize illegal things. Scrutinize dangerous play. Don't scrutinize screen passes.
40% of Bo Nix’s pass attempts tonight weee screens/throws to the flats

To be fair: A completely defensible strategy vs this Bengals D

YouTube adventures are fun when you're sick with whatever gunk I came down with. Looking for a pick-me-up, I stumbled on a 4yo video of All 4 One reuniting to sing one of their songs from like 30 years ago, and I went down a great 90s R&B tunnel.

Maybe it's time sports talk folks admit that sports are played on fields, courts and rinks, but never paper. Maybe the Baltimore Ravens aren't as loaded in reality as they told us they were. They're good, but maybe not superb.
