30 years ago the tech industry was telling us we all need to buy packaged software now because it’s so much more cost effective than building your own. Now that it’s more convenient for them not to build any software, that magically no longer applies.

The problem is that the skills (that both Schumer and Jeffries have) to successfully steer legislation through Congress rarely seem to coincide with the equally vital ability to inspire voters. They need to have doppelgangers who can go on TV instead of them.

Geneva Protocol is not part of the Geneva Conventions. In any case the subsequent Chemical Weapons Convention bizarrely allows it for riot control by law enforcement, but not for use in military armed conflict. Make it make sense.

The good news is that no Greenland invasion is likely to kick off until at least May as it would be a suicide mission while the sea is ice-locked (guess how many icebreakers the US has), so there is time for Congress to get its act together.
