For grand scale our 8 player memoir 44 game takes the cake though.

Probably my 6mm stuff with the coastal sections.

Par for the course for us over in Germania. (Ignore that I'm writing this from good old Noviomagum Batavorum)

I had to do some creative cropping so I don't dox myself, since this was taken from my apartments balcony. One of the few daytime sightings, they tend to be crepuscular which is a cool vibe but hard to photograph.

IIRC Bartitsu uses umbrellas as well. The wikipedia image for this "martial art" is exactly what you'd expect from umbrella martial arts.

early birthday gift to myself
a book full of mecha and tables, how could I not. I've spend more time looking at the PDFs of Mekton zeta, so I really wanted some part of it in physical print, even if I doubt I'll ever actually play it.

So, yesterday here in NL a train hit a truck filled with pears. Luckily only 5 people were lightly injured. But the pictures of the train... Its like a cartoon of a train stuffed with pears.

Oh yes! I have some gripes about the type of windmill used, but I'll take it as my national gundam all the same.

Sometimes, the feed lines up just right.

Sadly meyer, the witch from sirius, and her sturm jaeger remain forgotten.

Thanks you! It was actually my first gunpla build.

Got a pile of expansion parts for these, and aranged them in a bit more pleasing layout. I'm thinking they can really profit form a simple zenithal spray and paint wash to bring out some details.

Final liberation for me, and in retrospect its a surprise it took me so long to switch to 6mm only for 40k.

I'm not sure what to do with this historical note and the fact that he is orange...

You can't tell me they weren't pitched as "knight rider but with x" internally at some point.

Equally "Supertrain" was clearly "the big bus but with a train" and the only good thing that came from it was a kick ass shooting model.

We are talking about the game where if you leave these two alone in a field too long, you'll end up with a "unexpected" EGG from which hatches a whale or cat. That game?

Yes, that's working!

History is a funny thing. I had seen the picture Colin posted many times before. But last year I found a print of this picture in Nijmegen library. It makes sense that the Graf would pass by here, but I'd just never really considered it. History and here and now never connected.

Sad that I never saw them in store, I mean look at the back of box art! And they had blisters with like 3 tanks or jets to expand the giant vehicles. That line feels like it was specifically designed for me personally.

You know I used to be a one scale only kinda guy.

single unit, and infinitely expendable middle section added. Now need to make some containers. The red ones were borrowed from @thelazyforger.bsky.social but I'll have to make my own like a big boy now.

I just watched a video about passenger intercity trains with connecting doors up front. Unique to Japan... And the Netherlands. Though we found it a maintenance drain and disabled them after a couple of years. Make for a very flat nosed train though.

I've seen pictures of them stacked 2 high. which looks very wrong to me, but does make for nice cover for say battletech.
