Still can’t believe that Girard Ave’s traffic pattern is PennDOT approved. This is the best it gets. No there is no paint on the road anymore.

Increase in congestion for the Philly area of the septa cuts go through. Show this to the people that don’t use septa but use the public roads.

I find it interesting how non-religious people in the US still use American Protestantism as the “default” religious framework. Like it would be shocking to many that Catholicism doesn’t derive everything from the Bible, or that you can be religious and not worry about belief or doctrine.

One of the few city drives I do frequently is from Delco to Germantown for church. I despise City Line Ave and Lincoln Dr, except they’re still the fastest way.

Ideas that could increase capacity and improve the experience at NY Penn Station, from least to most crazy:
- New Hudson River tunnel, replace/renovate existing tunnel
- Through Run NJT trains to Jamaica, LIRR trains to EWR or Newark Broad
- New Hudson River tunnel, replace/renovate existing tunnel
- Through Run NJT trains to Jamaica, LIRR trains to EWR or Newark Broad

Even in Natick, MA, where Massachusetts has updated their traffic engineering standards, the stupidity of John Forester’s legacy of #VehicularCycling lives on. You could literally just merge the bike lane with the rail trail.

Multi-state cities should take inspiration from Minneapolis-St. Paul, where they actually have a regional planning commission. State borders should matter less for public goods, they should matter more for economy and industry differences.

Regardless if septa cuts service or not, please no rail trails in the interim, we need to keep the rails. Trails can go other places.
