One of the first requests from our teen upon bringing home a puppy this past summer was a skeleton hoodie so they could be Halloween twins! I’m not sure the dog’s impressed.

Had the pleasure of watching Massy Ferguson band close out the West Seattle Street Festival yesterday! It was a great show (so hot!) and made even better when I got to briefly catch up with Ethan (pictured) afterward! We went to school together in the 90s!

“Screech!” came the calls of a juvenile Great Horned Owl as it moved from tree to tree around our campsite at Deception Pass State Park earlier this week. Very cool to see and hear!

Beautiful cold morning walk in Seattle… remnants of hail on the cars and ground, melt already trickling down the drain pipes, birds singing and daffodils blooming. Spring is coming! Resist despair, get angry, find joy, be part of the change.

Resilience: In spite of the mole heaping dirt from its tunnels. Beyond the dog digging to find the mole. Through the drenching of last night’s rains. The English Daisy stretches toward the light and air above. Breathe. You can get through this, too.
