Totally, things are becoming efficient in the industry, less people are needed and purchases/mergers like conoco & marathon etc means that positions are doubled up that can be done with less people. as soon as a buyout happens everyone pretty much expects layoffs on both sides of the merger.

it started with the Harper and the CPC from what ive noticed in the past and just gotten more and more common since than.

Things started to get written as Harper Government and it got tweaked into the Harper Conservatives etc and changed for different parties as the leaders changed.

Just curious why we are all calling things the NAME liberals or NAME conservatives now, we don't vote for the leader of the party in Canada, it seems really silly and immature to be calling the party after the leader every time when the party name gets mentioned.
