Yesterday my UCU branch passed a trans solidarity motion ✊🏳️⚧️
I went into the meeting so full of anxiety: pretty sure it'd pass, but unsure how my nervous system would deal with sitting through listening to transphobic arguments made against the motion.

Not only is it now £26.50 for the four of us to go swimming for an hour in our (previously council run, now privatised) local pool, I now also have to specify whether I'm Doctor Male or Doctor Female.
The unquestioned gender neutral-ness is literally the only reason I use Dr as a title.

When you spend so long choosing inclusive, not binary body and reproduction books for your kids, only for them to pick 'from puppy to dog' from the library, which is not at all inclusive or anti-binary (that dog is definitely queer though)

I wasn't a massive reader but loved these & my mum's saved them all. They are also very matter of fact about Josie Smith not having a Dad which pleased my J (along with the obvious - not coincidental!) They've held up pretty well overtime if you come across them

So much sensory body stuff going on when Percy the Panda is no longer in the shop window (a common experience for Josie Smith, she's generally full of anxiety and conflicted about how to do the right thing)
