Unfortunately, this was a bit too low stakes for me. And Refusing Compulsory Sexuality by Sherronda J. Brown — 4 stars, An interesting examination of going against societal standards/white supremacy. Elodie and Gabriel are a lovely chaotic neurodivergent couple. Looking forward to the next one. Audiobook wise, Elizabeth Knowelden’s narration was made for India’s writing style. They fit perfectly together.

Finally had some motivation to work on these again. It’s been a struggle to be creative lately. I’m trying to take advantage of the moments when they come. Working through the backlog. See if I can finish them by the end of the year. 💕💪🏻

Also, lovely use of post it notes. And What Happens in Amsterdam by Rachel Lynn Solomon — 4 stars, Another lovely romance from Rachel. I think it’s safe to say she is one of my favorite authors. The few photos I took at my brother’s wedding last weekend. I was able to put together a mask chain in time. Still depressing to be the only one masking, but public health is pretty much non existent at this point and I hate being sick so it is what it is. 😷🤷🏻‍♀️

The Muse of Maiden Lane by Mimi Matthews — 3 stars, Overall, disappointing. Felt like an afterthought. The female narrator was off putting. I adored Stella and Teddy’s relationship though. That coupled with the story. Match made. Ate it up. Love Anne and Hart.

I think I prefer Love At First Book more, but it was nice to spend more time with these characters and experience Sam and Ben’s story. Overall, still insightful even if there were some misses.

Didn’t quite stick the landing in the end, but I still enjoyed it. Overall, this is a bittersweet romance navigating grief. And Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel — 4.5 stars, I was worried reading about a flu pandemic while bird flu is dangerously close to becoming our next pandemic, but it wasn’t bad at all. Ended up really enjoying it.
