I'm with you on the "chime in" part. Truth is, we've always chimed in (even if our voices weren't always respected. I can point to very specific examples) because we've always understood what's at stake. Not just for us, but for this entire nation.

I'm with you on the "chime in" part. Truth is, we've always chimed in (even if our voices weren't always respected. I can point to very specific examples) because we've always understood what's at stake. Not just for us, but for this entire nation.

What you're struggling with is a shift. One where Black folks have decided to fall back after 400+ years of putting our physical bodies on the line. Now, you're forced to step up or suffer, and it makes you uncomfortable. And it's ok for you to own that discomfort. Get used to it...

The time for solidarity was November 5th. 98% of Black women knew the fate of this nation and that our democracy was at stake. We warned everyone. We were ignored. Nobody listened to us. So here we are🤷🏽♀️

The backstory on why/how Cubans first arrived here & how the US rolled out the red carpet is an important one. They're classist and colorist as hell. White/light presenting Cubans despise darker ones & they are angry w/poorer [illegal] immigrant class of Cubans for not coming here "the right way."🙄
