I love stories & the ways they connect us! I help companies positively impact their ppl dynamics & bottom line. I see our rich history as a conduit to brighter futures & help girls do the same! I love the wisdom of our elders+vintage photos, so I created #NotesFromTheElders. Tell me about you?😊
I can't stop thinking: How would things be different in this country if non-Black folks didn't struggle so much with listening to Black folks?

I’m tired of White folks asking me to be on a race in America—or some variation thereof—panel & don’t want to pay my fee.

It’s one thing for a book festival where I’m there to sell books.

But your random philanthropic panel where you want to use me to virtue signal?

PAY ME WHAT I ASK.

The Democratic Party did not abandon the working class. The WHITE working class abandoned the Democratic Party the day the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964 and never returned.

It's not a messaging problem. It's a fucking white people problem. Full stop. The end. Go collect your family.

They mean to be as insulting to Black people, as dismissive of our lives, as resistance to our status as full citizens in this country as they can be.

There is no common ground to be had at the expense of our sisters & daughters’ lives and our dignity as a people.

I cannot get past this. The Supreme Court has now allowed the President to make the cost of arriving on our shores to seek a better life, being disappeared into a war-torn country.

Tricia McLaughlin, a spokesperson for DHS said: “These sickos will be in South Sudan by Independence Day.”’
Breaking News: The Supreme Court said the U.S. could deport eight migrants to South Sudan, even though they have no connection to the war-torn nation.

They diagnose cancers while still treatable. They help women decide what birth control works for them. They help those working through mental health challenges.
