This is hard but I feel this is a safe space where I can share my truth without being shamed: I have, on occasion, skipped leg day.

I had three Thanksgivings this year. Fatter me could never dream of having it so good. I guess it's true what they say: the best things in life are usually found when you are not looking for them.

One year, when I was about 15, my mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas so I handed her the Victoria Secret catalogue she mysteriously had not received for some reason with some models circled. She never asked me again and to this day I never got Gisele Bündchen under my tree. Like, why even ask?

I can't remember all of my neighbors names so I've taken to nicknaming some of them when telling Frenchy about my interactions. There's Stoner Guy, Obvious Divorcee, Grumpy Old Man, and Can't Get Her Life Together.

Laura Loomer: The GOP has a Nazi problem.

Literally everyone else: We were wondering when y'all were gonna notice.

I'm 41 and just bought my first turkey ever. The gravy train of others supporting my tryptophan habit has ended. Look, I realize Butterball has overhead costs but pound for pound I could hire a hitman for cheaper.

And before any undercover FBI agents slide into my DMs I'm not looking for a hitman.

If you want to talk about government waste how about the fact that right now a jury is deliberating the fate of a man that threw a sandwich at an ICE officer. They made a federal case out of dry cleaning bill.

One of the help desk guys has been driving an old Thunderbird into work lately but today he drove a newer sedan. I was like "it's all fun, fun, fun till daddy takes the t-bird away, huh?" and now I have a meeting with HR where I can only imagine they will appreciate my sweet musical references.

I'm confused: with all the criticisms floating around can someone clear this up? Is Mamdani a socialist, a communist, or a Muslim extremist here to institute a caliphate in NYC? Those are all mutually exclusive ideologies. Or is it just racism? It's racism, isn't it?

The conversation shouldn't be about the insignificant number of people gaming the system but instead be about how, in the richest country to ever exist on the planet, we have so many people working for corporations posting billions in profits a year in need of assistance to be able to just survive.

If Republicans truly wanted the government open they could end this shutdown by using their majority to suspend the filibuster and then pass whatever legislation they want without a single Democrat vote. Republicans are choosing this shutdown everyday they don't suspend the filibuster.

Speaker Johnson, Republicans are in the majority of the Senate and House, right?

Johnson: Yes

And the President is one, right?

Johnson: Proudly so, yes.

And SCOTUS is conservative dominated?

Johnson: Yppers.

So, that means y'all are in charge of the government, right?

Johnson:

Trump tearing down 1/3 of the White House to build a grand, opulent ball room while troops and federal employees line up at food banks has real Nero playing his violin while Rome burns vibes.

The feds are telling states not to distribute food stamp funds as a result of the shutdown. But if they are having to tell states not to distribute the funds that means the funds are there.

Seems more like they're looking to cause as much pain as possible for no reason other than cruelty.

Did Marjorie Taylor Greene get visited by three ghosts one night or something?

So, not only did Trump not get the Nobel they gave it to Venezuela's "Iron Lady", Maria Corina Machado. I'm not sure what Trump will rage about first: the fact that it's a woman, the fact that the winner is from his dreaded Venezuela, or the fact that she promoted democracy.

Has anyone just tried to whisper "Hail Hydra" to Stephen Miller to see how he reacts?

Trump and his OVI hire Hegseth brought all the top military brass to one place to lecture them on woke and fat shame them.

So, they basically created a situation where disgruntled unpaid workers in control of every facet of our military are in one place and they thought this was a good idea?

Prosecutors failed to secure an indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent. You know the old saying: you can indict a ham sandwich, just not the man that threw it.

Let this Cold Play/CEO kerfuffle be a lesson to you: if the kiss cam puts you and your date on the giant screen, just kiss her. Hell, use some tongue and maybe cop a feel; give the people a show. It'll save your marriage.

Chris Martin publicly outing an affair is a very cold play.

Does it make me a bad person that part of the reason I'm losing weight and trying to be healthy is so when I turn 44 I can go to my where my brother is interred and softly whisper "I win"?

So trans people are too strong and capable to be allowed to compete in women's sports but not strong and capable enough to serve in the military alongside those same cis women they would've played against?

I can't wait for the mid-season crossover event for Chicago Med, Fire, P.D., and Pope.
