My kid's sex ed courses at school have talked about STDs and AIDs every year but I ask them about PrEP and get a blank stare back. If these programs were about prevention it should be talked about, but often it seems the goal is instead fearmongering about the gay disease.

It's truly wild that the vast majority of everyday (read: straight) people do not know a drug exists that prevents HIV transmission with astonishing efficacy and minimal side effects, and that it's cheap to produce, but it isn't just dispensed from candy machines on every street corner globally

The attack on trans people can't be "just a distraction" because if this administration wanted to create a distraction they would pick an issue cis liberals actually cared and talked about.

Wife drunkenly wakes me up in the middle of the night yesterday to talk about how much I've changed since transition and scared that's going to be taken away and mourning the eight years we lost together.
And it is actually just a great comfort to know all those thoughts aren't just in my head.
