The Cracked Mirror by Chris Brookmyre was my first book of 2025 and I cannot recommend it enough. Will definitely have to re-read at some point to fully take in all the wit and cleverness.

I know it's time, but I will really miss our Christmas tree once we've taken it down tomorrow. It has brought a lot of brightness and cosiness this winter.

Saw Wicked this afternoon, went back to my parents' and my sister and I serenaded the cat with personalised versions of the songs. She had this deadpan look the entire time, not sure she was impressed, but at least she didn't run away...

Thinking about this pigeon I made friends with today.

By 'made friends with', I mean I gave it some pastry and it sat next to me until we got up and left, just in case I gave it some more. (I did).

It's been seven years since I drew this for @norramot.bsky.social for our first Christmas together, as we used to say that we were a good pair/ pear. It's so nice that it now lives in our shared home 🍐

My partner has made me a selection of personal reaction stickers for whatsapp, we use them all the time 😂
