it's my full time job and I feel immensely privileged that I get paid to do this. puzzling out how to get a thing working is a great feeling. I don't work in games, but I have done some game jams and they were a blast. Or hackathons and getting a robot to move or a cool led light show is awesome.

the western corporate world has completely ruined any concept of kaizen for me. The industrialization of the term to make more efficient workers, the miserable jargon filled meetings I had to be in, the "Lean Six Sigma" co-opt of kaizen, and the misery of kanban boards will haunt me till I die.
