My capelet still needs a clasp, it's too big, but it's still cute. My partner saw it and said "it looks like a PanAm Wizard" and now I feel obligated to do a mid century witch costume including a broom.

My baby sister joined me for class last night! (This is an old photo). We did the same floor combo this week that we did last week AND I REMEMBERED IT!! It might sound silly, but with my brain fog, that is such a HUGE victory. I love this weekly little treat. I have missed dance SO much 😭💕

Okay, so I semi rescind my "not shopping at Target" after reading an article (sadly lost due to a feed refresh) about how it is more important to shop the brands that will be affected by DEI cuts than to stop shopping Target all together. Gonna look for these brands next time I am in Target.

My supervisor is telling me to take a snack break. I am working on the #charmpatterns Charm Scout Cape. I made a rookie mistake by 1, not making a mock up thinking "it's just a cape" and 2, forgetting to account for finished garment measurements. I guess this will be a useable mock up?

One of my new favorite joys is hearing quotes used in sound drops on @greatesttrek.bsky.social. I'm now going to hear "get out of my chair" all day. #starttek is my comfort, so it tends to be my background noise while I stress sew.

Well. With very few other options I feel stuck. Mom and pop shops have all been basically erased. I guess it's time to double my efforts of shopping small even more than I already do and get over my anxiety of driving to do so. I'm never shocked by this kind of news, but always disappointed by it.

Someday I'll think ahead and utilize something like The Plotted Pattern or actually take this to be printed on larger paper. This is tedious but worth it!

My wig had an attitude problem last year, so I'm still debating if I want to give Tendi one more go next year. I also have a ton of badge ribbons left soooo maybe?? Also looking for my fellow #friendsofdesoto and #starttek friends.

"only you can decide what breaks you". I think it might be an Aurora? It had a very strong green/gold shimmer in some angles, but I could only get the larger glitter particles to show in photos. You can kind of see it in the bottom corner of the bottle

I get to go visit friends i haven't seen in almost 6 whole years 😍 I can't wait to hug these two. Through thick and thin, no amount of distance has dimmed our friendships and I feel so lucky to call them a part of my chosen family.

The bodice of this costume is currently taunting me. It's sitting on the back of my office chair screaming "stitch the lining closed". I guess I'm torn, because it's actually too big on me so I kind of want to take it apart and fit it again, but it also doesn't look bad so do I just finish it??

Returning to dance after 20ish years has been incredible. I'm still frustrated when I need to sit out for something but I'm so thankful for what I *can* do. Today's class was perfect. I was able to stay engaged in movement, and remember combos. I felt like I was flying again and I've MISSED this.

I used to have one of these when I was a kid and the nostalgia was so strong when I saw them before Christmas. I was giddily shocked when my partner gave me one for Christmas. I finally pulled the tag on it yesterday while on a video call with my bestie. The loud abrupt sounds had is cackling. 10/10
I know my mental health is in a delicate space when I snap and hyperfocus on something. I started to deeply organize my office, and the crafting hazard in this photo is my current overflow. I have bins of fabric from abandoned projects, mending, and leftover Christmas projects stacked up.

I guess maybe whole I toodle around with how I want to use this app I'll kinda use it like a visual diary? I spent all day sorting and organizing my fabric so I could have a clean office and sewing space. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get around to cutting out my capelet 💕 I can't work in clutter 😬😅
