The harm has been done and it's already much too late to avoid the vast majority of the legal consequences, but the government should at least act to protect themselves now by immediately ceasing the Targeted Compliance Framework, as they will inevitably be ordered.

The Department freely admits in these docs that compliance punishments hurt welfare recipients' chances of finding work - then chose to enact harsher punishments against them.

Because that's the whole point of employment services - they can't play dumb on that intent anymore

It's not ALL and the Abmos and Emergency services. There's alot of waste in the Public Hospital System. The Mater Hospital in Brisbane for example is administered by the laziness most incompetent Admin staff imaginable. Such level of miscommunication and rudeness is neither productive nor efficient

A smart govt - or even one with a PM who had a desire to do anything - would be using the LNP rabble to put in place every fucking thing they wanted.

Problem is Albanese doesn’t seem to want anything other than power.

Paul Keating’s invisible hand to kill Chalmers’ super tax
Veteran Geoff Wilson gave a bizarre award to a journalist for his efforts to destroy the government’s super tax on unrealised gains. But then he kept speaking.

Is Richard Holden encouraging Jim Chalmers to use his public profile to mutiny against Anthony Albanese? 👇

Like Keating, Chalmers should use economic reality as impetus for reform
The warning delivered by then secretary to the Treasury John Stone in 1984 is an eerie experience. Forty years on, we face so many of the same challenges.

Like AUKUS, a very expensive con. The 100's of Billions Labor pours into these window dressing PR jobs just stay in government make one wonder about the amount of perks they actually receive. Their need to sell out the ppl for themselves at every turn...😱

Indexation doesn't = cost-of-living relief.

This is posturing to appeal upper/middle-class people who don't depend on these payments or understand how they actually work.

Don't use people in poverty to prop up your image when you are not actually doing anything to help them.

The United Nations Climate Change Conference has been a front for a Fossil Fuel Jamboree for many years. It's no wonder why Albanese wants it held in Adelaide next year. Simply a Buyers Sellers Market for all of the coal and gas approvals under today's ALP govt.

Tent cities are growing due to your policies. 10% of our population are embedded in poverty but you’re obsessed with jobs while you give 14 billion welfare to offshore corporations every year. Dutton is unapologetically a monster, but at least he is honest. You’re fake progressives who excel at lies.

MLK had a 75% disapproval rating in 1968. High approval ratings don’t mean you are right, and low approval ratings don’t mean you are wrong. The true measure of a person is whether they will do what is right and just even if it is unpopular. This is why I celebrated King today and not the other guy.
