This dream is about to come true, then my visa renewal decided to step in 😂 Finger crossed new visa arrives in time! The Svelte god (if there's any) please let me secure this job!
Got article published on Branch, got mentioned in Green Software newsletter. A green coding milestone reached 😊 if I could land a job using Svelte, would be dream come true LOL

I don't know if anyone has used Svelte's remote functions and async in prod yet. These features are still experimental though, but a recent coding assignment asked me to use them and I think they are pretty readable and convenient

I just reset my commit tracker to see if I can reach >50% sustainable commits this month. Experimenting with my own tool is part of the process. Is it possible for carbon intensity to ever reach 0? Lots of questions, but that’s the beauty of taking the first step; it reveals the next ones.

Just released VSCarbon v1, a code editor extension that displays local energy grid's carbon intensity and track sustainable git commits github.com/liti-dev/vsc...

I realised I quite don't like voice messages, so I truly appreciate Slack's auto transcribing everything so I don't have to listen to the audios

Tracking low-carbon commits (locally for now). This nudges behavioural change towards green coding. These commits will be rewarded with real trees planted (thinking of TreeApp). What if after every sprint, we plant a small forest? What if your Git history told a story of climate action?

It's not my intention to build a personal brand, but actively advocating/working on green software makes it part of my identity
This week on Overcommitted, we chat about personal branding as a software engineer.

✨ What is it?
✨ How do you develop it with intention and authenticity?
✨ And how do you make the term less cringey?

We're live! Ductts helps you track your tears with logging, tagging, selfies, and CSV exports so you can do your own data analysis on it (or give it to your therapist).
I made an iOS app, AI-free, cloud-free, subscription-free, please smash that notify button (Product Hunt didn’t let me launch it today so I guess we’re launching tomorrow?)

Today's carbon intensity of my energy grid is only 15 gCO2/kWh, so I pushed a lot of code. Thanks to @joyofcode.xyz tutorial, my digital garden gradually comes to life

A great post that reminds me of web dev fundamentals then transitions nicely to framework concepts

I hate to admit it, but I’m definitely deadline-driven (alongside being curiosity-driven)😅

Branch launched my article, and within 2 hours I finally packaged and released my VS Code extension on GitHub (github.com/liti-dev/vsc...), after weeks of procrastinating. Sometimes you just need that push 😅

I don't normally give myself credit. But today I feel different. After watching a video about fullstack, I just realised how far I've gone, as I'm aware of all mentioned concepts. Plus, when looking at old projects, I somehow solved the bugs I put off a long time ago. This is progress 😄.

A person's background tells me a lot about their (tech) decisions. Btw I loveee seeing @tolin.ski interviewing Rich. The whole video gives a calm/chilling but also thought-provoking vibe 😁
Rich talks about his journey from journalism to JavaScript, the origins and philosophy behind Svelte and what's coming next for Svelte.
