Wolf hunting seasons are opening across the West, marking another season of unnecessary slaughter.

Killing wolves is neither supported by science nor ethics, yet it becomes a reality when wolves lose federal protections.

how many wolves will be lost for no reason? #ProtectWolves

A timely reminder: Who really belongs on public lands — wolves or livestock?

Much of the American West is leased to ranchers who target native species like wolves for elimination. Wolves help ecosystems thrive.

The West doesn't need more cattle. It needs more wolves.

As we usher in 2025 + look to the future, we're reminded many states + countries are still stuck in the past.

Sweden's wolf hunt begins today + they'rey aiming to kill 5 packs (30 wolves). The govt announced in 2024 that they want to decrease the population from 375 to 170.

The plans are part of a wider trend, with the EU intending to loosen rules around wolf persecution, allowing countries to increase the number they can kill. Sweden has been blatantly disregarding the wolf's special protection status since 2010, allowing a yearly hunt and thereby breaking EU law.
