Lille (France) close to Bellewaerde is nice too. But Bruges and Ghent are more impressive. Trier close to Luxembourg is lovely. Karl Marx’s home town and oldest German city and part of the Roman Empire. There is cool castles nearby Cochem Eltz (Epcot) but probably no time and not Benelux.

I’d avoid Brussels Northern train station in Brussels. Gare du midi isn’t so great either but nothing like the area around the Northern station. I spent many hours at midi coming from London which was ok but they say the area around midi isn’t so safe at night.

Fes is considered the cultural capital of Morocco. It’s exotic with many souks and you can see how they make leather. The blue city isn’t far either . I was impressed by the oases around the Sahara. You could travel to Tangier, Fes and then Marrakesh by train and then fly back from Marrakesh..
