Having admitted I do not know how to cook a turkey I do feel like I have to defend myself a tiny bit and say you should still invite me to Thanksgiving because I will absolutely crush my assigned side dish. Proof in last night's Instagram story. 😂

I still have the lipstick I'm wearing in my profile pic - which was taken in my old cubicle back before the pandemic. And I don't mean I've continued to purchase this color. I mean I still have the exact same tube of lipstick. 😂

I think it really complements this sweater (WHICH I MADE, by the way).

The Wednesday Hat, most of the Lisa Frank hats, and the pieces pictured below (among others I forgot to photograph) all found new homes today!

Taking a break from doomscrolling today to show off my #crochet at a local market. The #Wednesday inspired hat is my favorite one I've made all year, it came out exactly as I'd hoped. #CrochetSky

So I'm cackling because we've been making Dune jokes all week because a video game we play introduced some new enemies and...

Wanted to share some art I finally got around to hanging, both from artists I found here on Bluesky!

@arthur.baron-clement.com (far left and far right)
@parkparr.bsky.social (the two in the middle)

They're hanging over a mirror in my dining room, so a bit challenging to photograph but I love it!

Was just saving a photo to my work phone and found this throwback - the new battery is on the table behind the fire hazard that I was charged with removing. 😂

Disclaimer: This was a gift for a friend, I have never seen a single episode of Outlander, and I haven't read the books either, I just googled a lot of screenshots and did my best. 😂

I don't think I made y'all look at my #Outlander shawl, so here it is, #crochetsky!

Monarchs have been frequenting my garden nonstop over the last few weeks, I've found loads more eggs, and I've collected a huge stockpile of milkweed seeds. About to head to a mailbox to mail some to friends along the migration path, and I'm also throwing them all over the wooded area by my house.

Just know that whenever I post a nice photo of a few passable looking scones on Instagram, I am a god damned liar and those are the only halfway presentable scones in the whole batch. 😂

A second caterpillar has arrived!

For all I know, there could be more, I didn't spot the first one until he was almost full size and I almost couldn't find him today, they're very good at hiding. I'm trying to keep an eye on him so I see where he makes his chrysalis - I think he's close!

I believe I may have found the caterpillar that hatched from that egg. 🥹

A story in two parts, brought to you by watching my husband play the entire Mass Effect trilogy. 😂

Like I'm sorry, that's my SON, am I supposed to just not say hello to him? 😂

Please enjoy my dahlias. While I try to focus on planting predominantly native plants in my yard, I have a soft spot for dahlias and irises, so I have a small spot dedicated to them. I don't dig up the tubers, so I lost a few because this winter sucked, but I've got some beauties blooming right now.

This was a sponsored post in my Reddit feed and I'm reading it like... "Wouldn't this make the U.S. a Level 4 country?" 👀👀
July 25, 2025 at 1:36 PM
Welp, nobody can tell me anything for the rest of the day because I just watched a monarch butterfly lay an egg on one of the milkweed plants in my garden with my own two eyeballs so I am once again taken by the small joys in this world. This is your reminder that your small act of kindness matters.

One of the most interesting things about the pamphlet telling me about Whiteface Mountain is that it opens with the admission that we literally wouldn't go to the trouble to do this today.

Which is wild because it was so clearly a good and worthwhile idea, but sadly is also probably accurate.

This is what they went with when they gave him Sexiest Man Alive. And that's... Exactly what most of those covers (and the interior photos) look like. Are there a few token swimsuit model looking guys/photos? Yes. But by and large, this is what appeals to women.
