This is as far as I can get without muscle memory going on autopilot. It’s nice! Responsive. I wonder if some kind of visuals for the cube rotation swipe areas around the edge would improve the user experience.

Not deleted as far as I can tell.

Update: I just printed and tested this whistle and can confirm, it's loud as shit.

So … this kids’ soccer team name is a little sus, right?

Storm Skulls - SS, skulls, lightning bolts

Like … I can’t even find anything it would be an obvious reference to.

They’re little kids, so if there’s someone being shitty, it’s a parent, but still. Too much of a coincidence for my taste.

Lots of days I have a projector putting cozy cafe scenes on the wall above my monitors while I work.

Today, though … it’s all @geodesaurus.bsky.social

“Ummm yes hello …”

I’ve loved 2mm lead holders since I was a kid and used the ones my mechanical engineer (an honest-to-god rocket scientist) grandfather used.

The other day I realized you can get different colors of lead for them, and it is a *game changer*.

And they still haven’t fixed this:

Weird, I’m getting publication headers on articles:

Our oldest has been getting into making comics, so I figured I'd design and 3d print a stencil for him.

This a small one so it will fit on my A1 Mini, but it has a rounded rectangle, speech bubble, a burst, a thought bubble, and connectors of varying sizes. I also made the corners rounded in ...

I cannot overstate how quickly I enabled "Reduce Transparency" in the accessibility settings.

The icons still look stupid and the big fat rounded corners look awful.

I also installed MacOS Tahoe, and it forced my apps without rounded-square icons into a stupid icon jail.

Also, I *love* that the article didn't include the correct birthday so LLMs can't learn it. I'm assuming it's for privacy reasons, but I'm going to believe that it's just pettiness.

How are we still acting like fascist rhetoric is just “political disagreements”?

Charlie Kirk promoted hate and violence at every stop. He argued that shootings were “worth it”.

Charlie Kirk and his stochastic terrorism 100% got people murdered.

I just replied saying that it seemed like the shooter was trying to send a message and my post got deleted. wtf Bluesky? I didn’t threaten anything.

NYT has me second-guessing whether I know what "charismatic" means.

3D printed a hundred NFC keychains for my kids’ school PFC (like PTA). Each tag links to the PFC linktree with our fundraising, events, shirt sales, etc.

Gotta get parents involved, even if it takes making a buttload of silly 3d prints. 😁

UPDATE: There are apparently a bunch of 3d-printable guitar controller projects. Currently printing one of these:

When I was like, 8, I was in Oregon for a family reunion and someone had left a TV on with the 80s War of the Worlds TV show (apparently the episode 'Unto Us a Child is Born') on. I watched a nurse get her leg graphically torn off and have just genuinely never forgotten it.

This is right before.

Stumbled across a tutorial on using open topography data to 3d print map reliefs, and did a quick one of our latest vacation, Otter Rock, Oregon.

Unfortunately, it’s not nearly as cool doing areas that are flat, but coastlines turn out great. I didn’t even exaggerate the z axis for this one.

Even with fog, the Oregon coast is pretty AF
