The major problem with capitalism is that you can only make a profit if you convince someone to buy something for a price, but the price is higher than it cost you. It's based on tricking people or getting-one-over on people when they just wanted a fair exchange.

People usually think rich people are smart, but most of them are complete morons. Rich people just have lots of chances to succeed (because their connections will loan them millions to get started), whereas regular people can't get those sort of loans.

I watched the first episode and stopped. If I can't find a single character I can root for, I don't bother anymore. I need hopeful tv shows, not more and more depictions of how awful people can be.

How else are people going to get book deals? You have to let awful shit happen, then walk away, and later write about it. If you stop the bad thing, you're just doing your damn job and no one wants to read about that. /s (Just what I imagine everyone who willingly works for Trump is thinking.)

It's really amazing to me the way that Canadians are not buying American products in the grocery stores. I see the shelves here in Montreal, & I'm so impressed by their boycott. The Canadian products are snatched up & the American ones are left to spoil. Good for them!

The only reason my family exists is because our ancestors left Ireland when they were starving. My husband and I got our kids out of the US 5 years ago, and I don't regret it.
