Their native culture. Look at places like Samoa or really any of the Pacific Islands they became intertwined with white people and westerners and completely lost their culture and are worse off for it now. By their own telling.

They would be ripped away from the only culture they've ever known. And for what? To make another capitalist? To "educate" them? In their current state of would take generations of them leaving for their descendants to benefit from our 2025 Western culture. And in doing that you would destroy 2/3

I get the over arching theme of what you are saying. But in this individual case I don't think it applies. This is basically a prehistoric culture. Say you take them to the main land. They don't speak the language. Don't understand anything about the culture. The have zero immunity to disease. 1/2

Maybe they do. And we don't need to make them understand we aren't. No more than the Portuguese and Spanish didn't need to capture souls in the Americas and thus destroy their culture. I say leave the alone.

They have the choice to leave. They haven't. They could have easily signaled to the boats that regularly come near them that they want to leave. So I believe they should be left alone with that choice. And we should respect their sovereignty and stay away from their land.

I think they are living the life that they want to live. Their ancestors have left but they don't seem to have any desire to or to be contacted, so I think they should be left alone. I think it's a very colonialist attitude to think that we have something to offer them that they don't have now.

But you don't miss what you don't have. Is our way of life superior to theirs? They've lived that lifestyle for probably 1000s of years. Generations of them. It's what they know. I think saying that if they came to our world they would be better off is assuming our world is better off than theirs.

I think they should be left alone. Those people understand their own culture, their own land. If they wanted to leave they would, like the ancestors of many people on small Islands have. They obviously don't want to be contacted so I think they should be left alone.
