thank you so much!!! i truly spent at least a dozen hours online looking at fabrics to find good matches (and dyed the torso fabric darker to be a better match once I got it), I'm so happy with how they finally turned out all together!

Here's the screenshots & reference images I used for making this, for those unfamilair with him ;) huge thanks to the model maker Mathilde Mazen from the Sandfall team, who included some detail shots of the prop on artstation! It made recreating this so much easier www.artstation.com/artwork/y4qoex

And of course--the secret pocket in the back seam to hold Esquie's special rocks, Verso's wine, and maybe a suspicious mushroom!! This element was a lot of extra work to include but so worth it.

Anyway--play @expedition33.bsky.social by @sandfallgames.bsky.social immediately. 10/10 experience

I wanted this plushie to feel as luxurious as a real rich family's toy from the 1800s, so I used upholstery fabrics like chenille, velvet, microsuedes, etc. And put tons of time into the small details & notions to get him perfect, like using shell buttons for the eyes rather than plastic

i loved these guys so much. spent ages chasing them around the map, made a mod to give them smooch marks on their little heads, and even commissioned art (@Raposabranca) of Rook finally catching one 😂 sad there was more content for them we'll never see but glad they made it in in some way still!!!

Yay!!! Keep at it!! I improved SO MUCH in the first few months I was embroidering, it was like night and day. And even more over the years since! much of embroidery isn't actually hard, just takes some patience until your muscle memory gets more even and smooth :)

I finished the game last night and I have been an emotional wreck since. i can't think about anything else, and my heart is now a puddle on the floor. this is the most beautiful game i've encountered in years and years... do yourself a favor and play it when you can

by far the biggest "breakthrough" i had was not actually about stitching at all, but how to transfer a pattern directly to fabric using my printer instead of more fiddly methods. All the stitching work just needs patience, not much particular skill! The Hierophant piece was my 5th embroidery ever!

I do want to note that while I took like 4 years to make an updated version of this piece, most of that improvement actually came in the following couple weeks. it was mostly just figuring out how to lay threads better to shade & using less strands. All these below pieces were made within 6 months!
