They are very good but rarely does a British version even from one of the best breweries achieve the Horlicksy malt character the Bavarian ones have. Only a handful manage it. I don't know the reason.

Worth looking into this more i think. Soaked ovenight and then fried, starting in cold oil and heated through, then cooled again and salted. Will report back 🫡

Some excellent UK-brewed Festbiers about from the likes of Duration, Donzoko, Newbarns and L&G. I know they're nothing new, but I feel the quality has really stepped up in the last 3-4 years.
