Having a birthday during chemo week is less than ideal, but sometimes you have to just pop on your silver jacket and smile through it.

Into my last couple of days of this chemo course and fully assumed I'd be fine to go to the Villa today.
Sadly, I'm not feeling good, so BBC One will have to do for me.

Had chemo today. Feeling it.
Obviously all eyes have been on Wednesday's game since I was diagnosed in November.
I'd put my chances of being there at an optimistic 50/50. Let's see how the next couple of days pan out.

Villa v Celtic is the fixture of my dreams. Never thought I'd see the day.
As it happens, it will be taking place on my third day of a course of chemotherapy.
No idea how I'll be feeling, but determined to be there. Throwing that wish into the universe for good vibes. 🤞

Having already seen some really poor posts on 'the other place' ahead of the #CelticFC game on Wednesday, some pertinent facts for some #AVFC fans to remember:

Chemo has got the better of me. I'm not going to the Villa tonight.
It shouldn't feel like such a big deal, but it's the first thing cancer has stopped me from doing and I just feel so defeated.
Hopefully a strong team and a win. I'll be cheering on from home. 🙏
