I'm very sad to learn that Britt Allcroft passed away in December, aged 81. Britt brought the Railway Series books to life on TV and influenced a generation of railway enthusiasts, filmmakers, and model makers.

RIP Britt Allcroft.

Britt Allcroft was truly one of a kind. When I was 12, she gave me a chance to be part of something that millions of children — as well as adults — love. Warm-hearted, funny, and kind, the English grandmother I never had. May her memory be a blessing. ❤️
