So it would probably looks something closer to the Urdu alphabet. I also wanted to get more experience with other alphabets so I could make something inspired by, but different enough from, Arabic.

Anyway, yes, I can certainly share with you what I've been cooking up!

That conlang is alive, it was just the writing system that I put on pause! It's really a mashup of the morphology common in Semitic languages with Old Norse phonology, and I maybe possibly added too many vowel sounds in the process, which throws off the Arabic alphabet 😅

Thankfully I've had several clicking sensations with this glossary over the years, since it covers all my settings !

This really caught by eye while scrolling! It's cool to see Arabic inspired characters like that. I've attempted to handwrite something like that for one of my conlangs, but alas I abandoned it (for now, get back to me in 5 years 😆)

The colors, the willow tree, the fairy... absolutely lovely. Reminds me of art nouveau.

Amusingly, Morris was reacting in his day against good old-fashioned industrialization by striving towards an idealized, medieval way of life that, in his opinion, was more communal.

Ah, how things change, yet stay the same.

I'm proud to have recently purchased some books from a small press, for publishing some of William Morris's work long out of print and breathing new life into it.

Seven (!) years later, and I realize that this introduction is missing a more compelling conflict. Alas, I'll remember that when I get back to writing about these two characters.

Please enjoy regardless 😇

I usually save my comments for the afterword I put in the post, but as I was writing the blurb here for the link, I really wanted to say "two spirits awaken in the afterlife, and they must figure out <blah blah> before <something bad>". But I couldn't, it's pretty slice-of-life-y.
