Netflix sent me an email about their acquisition of Warner Bros. and how it includes HBO Max, so naturally I'm thinking I can stop paying one subscription, right?

Of course not.

If you want to understand the information war surrounding Israel, look at the Marwan Barghouti Wikipedia page now, versus before the Oct 7th attack.

These articles are night and day.

LOL, Grok sure backpedaled fast. As all AI do, tending to believe every correction offered them like it's the gospel truth.

I'd say AI is sycophantic, but that's too much anthropomorphizing — it's just dumb programming designed to be fluff our egos.

This is the second post Google has recommended on my phone as a top story, from this Xitter account that posts a lot of fake content and incorrect information. Kind of niche example of virality beating truth... but I guess it's just all content now.

OK, as soon as I posted about that one, which arguably could be a woman eating a donut (yeah right), I am now looking at this ad, which is more difficult to pretend like it's anything but fellatio.

Ummm, YouTube might need to clean up their advertising content.

("Window Cleaning" was not a euphemism I was familiar with.)

Results 9-12. More of the same.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Eighth result. More of the same. Everything is Israel's fault, Hamas does no wrong, more false claims of genocide. Plus language to politicize it, aligning with preconceived notions of U.S. politics.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Seventh result again provides no context at all that Israel retaliated after Hamas broke the ceasefire. And outdated news about the aid blockage.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
4th to 6th search results.
4 is a false claim of who broke the ceasefire, followed by hate speech.
5 is a lie about what IDF said.
6 is a heavily biased distortion coupled with yet another false claim of genocide (aka hate speech).
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Third hit is old news. Israel agreed to resume aid hours ago.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Second hit. Not sure when they're counting from. But again, zero context. Just the implication without evidence or context that Israel was the aggressor.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Let's see what happens when I search for "ceasefire" on this platform...

First hit. Zero mention that Hamas first broke the ceasefire, attacking soldiers over the yellow line, and killing two.

Just a lie, that Israel broke the ceasefire.
October 19, 2025 at 11:15 PM
Just to see how effective this strategy is for the haters, even without the news media itself explicitly spreading the lie. Search on BlueSky for keywords "broke" and "ceasefire":

OK, from google search, they do have left-leaning shirts. But this seems to be some sort of user-submitted set of shirts. (Maybe they all are?)

Fanaticity is a site that I would characterize as primarily focused on sports, but they have right-wing political shirts, and so far, no left wing political shirts.

This means and implies nothing at this point, it's an observation.

Critical thinking tells us that if they admit there were "few requests" then that means there were in fact requests, and the board rejected those requests.

And discussions were blocked on their internal forums.

They had a meeting scheduled, and the executive board cancelled it.

One simple test you can use to check your empathy, a wel-established check among progressives for ages, is to play simple substitution games. Imagine this quote being said about a minority for which you can muster empathy:

I really think progressive non-Jews have absolutely no clue about how much hate speech there is online against Jews these days. Most don't even have the ability to recognize or notice hate speech.

This is the question, and my deleted answer is pictured here.

Whataboutism is shitty.

Islamaphobia is eagerly covered by mainstream sources, while anti-semitism is often shifted towards something else (as in this case).

At any rate according to the FBI there are many times more hate crimes against Jews than Muslims.

It's really kind of breathtaking, this past 12 months.

OK I found the "statement" - a tweet on Xitter. This statement is... a hot mess.
