Game of the week! I definitely forgot to do it last week so it's a double helping. First up Virtua Fighter 10th Anniversary, released only in Japan for the PS2! Secondly, PES 6 with its ridiculously overpowered Adriano. It it is still so, so good. #retrogames #playstation

Game Of The Week is Mass Destruction on the Sega Saturn. Very fun tank based shooter, I remember thinking the explosions looked amazing back when I first played this in 1997. Did I choose this as the title sums up how my body feels after a weekend stag do in Dublin? Perhaps. #sega #segasaturn #retro

It's Game Of The Week time! This week it's Tails Sky Patrol for the Game Gear, one that I picked up on my recent Japan trip. It came out in 1995 and was only released in Japan! #sega #retrogaming #gameoftheweek

I have rearranged my living room so this little display is no longer visible when I'm on a call so now you, the Internet, will be subjected to it. Game of the Week from my mega collection is the Japanese edition of Yoshi's Story (N64) Released in 1997, the box art is gorgeous

Monday was the 30th Anniversary of the launch of the PlayStation 1 in the UK and it was also the day my gorgeous 30th Anniversary console & Portal arrived. I love them. I love them so much. #30thanniversary #playstation

I am in Japan! It is wonderful! Have so far been to Osaka and Kyoto, now staying at Lake Yamanakako not far from Mount Fuji. I have taken way, way too many photos but here are a few favourites from the first 5 or so days.

This arrived last week and I spent my lunchtime having a read. Short and sweet but some decent background to Alien: Romulus.

A couple more titles for my growing retro footie collection. ISS Pro Evo was an absolute banger. And FIFA 2002...has a lovely photo of Thierry Henry on it ☺️

This is on top of also recently beginning my third play of Hollow Knight. I have no time for your fancy new games.

A million games in the backlog and I am starting another play through of Alien Isolation. No regrets.

In preparation for some hopefully Spring-like weather this week, I have filled my Xbox Fridge with Capri-Sun.

Well, there it is then, one full season of not getting a single Arsenal ticket through the ballot system. Shambles.

The last four times I have watched Arsenal while I was abroad, we have lost. I'm in Ireland. I'm watching Arsenal. I think we know what happens next. Because I am somehow the most powerful being in the universe.

Polymega turned up today! Very sad I am off to Brighton first thing in the morning to run a dumb marathon instead of spending the weekend on this.

Finished Demon Souls on Friday and I found it...easy? Am I good at these damn games now? Or is the remake weirdly easy?

I am in Tallinn for work, having a very chill Sunday of running along the Baltic and sipping a pint or two in the first Estonian pub.

Don't hugely rate them myself but not sure why you would feel compelled to apologise for them? They havent released anything for ages.

Have been ill again (not being able to breathe the properly is fun, huh?) so bought Phantom Liberty and restarted Cyberpunk. Turns out I didn't even make it to the title card last time but I'm very much enjoying myself.

It's done! Royal Parks Half Marathon knocked out in 1:37ish, which is not too bad given how terrible my legs felt.

Yearly goal for running completed. Now to eat pizza and play games until January. Right?
October 9, 2023 at 6:55 AM
Ran a marathon last Sunday then promptly got a cold but I have recovered and tomorrow shall be running a half marathon cos I hate my legs.

Set myself a target of 1250km of running this year and have exactly 21km to go. Looking forward to that finish line tomorrow.

Off to Edinburgh which brings back great memories of Project Gotham Racing. Also just an absolute banger of a city.
