Do abundance liberals understand that the regulatory state is a reaction to the evisceration of public goods? Regulation was already a compromise with neo-liberal policy. The obvious solution is to make more public goods. Regulation is a function of democracy, not circuitous laws.

Everything is shittier than it used to be. But there are lots of experts telling us that isn't true: streets and subways are safer, pay is higher, you have more product choices, more movies to stream, more places to eat, insurance companies are saving you $$. I mean, come on...

Sure. But the ways the DNC head can impact are important: building a year round organizing & messaging platform, message everywhere, organize everywhere, & build power through community involvement. Ben is good at these things...
Others may disagree, but I don’t think the DNC chair position is a useful place to have an ideological fight about the direction of the party.
The DNC chair has basically zero ideological influence; it’s a functional position with little influence on anything other than mechanics.
