Car culture dominating society is social murder.

Posts are mostly about the US, sometimes focused on parenting.

the nearest he gets to a cogent thought is acknowledging how much people hate him, so we got that going for us

I post about cars, so I'm immune to people using left coded language to justify aggressive behavior in public that makes them feel powerful at the expense of others who are more vulnerable

Rubbish fires are usually far more dangerous than tear gas. It’s a fact.

You need to delete that and apologize to me.

if you want it in your house, gross but whatever, but gas stoves can be a pain to replace in a condo (although there are 120v replacements coming to help) and gas hookup fees are a huge burden for future occupants
February 4, 2026 at 9:36 PM
ha, I was thinking of you and about gas hookups as I read it, and then I saw you posted about both in succession.

Firefighters have told me some huge % of residential fires start on stoves and would be avoided with induction. Have you heard that?

I'm not familiar with Austin, but conceptually this is right and most AV critics ignore it. City govt that cares about safety (enough to listen to critics) should make cooperation for specific complaints a requirement for AVs to operate.

It's political, not a binary question of having AVs or not.

If the Federal government acts on it, it would line up with my idea that the anti-"fast and free bus" pro-subway crowd are the left NIMBYs of transit.

Today they are using technocratic or left language to oppose a left political agenda. But then they'd be supporting an explicitly right wing agenda.

stay safe!

hate that this happens. I got video of somebody driving a giant SUV past our school while looking at his phone, but his dark windows make it impossible to even see it on video 🙁
