I liked Blue Prince a lot, but fell off it about 10 hours after rolling credits. Might pick it back up at some point!

KR0 is a masterpiece, which was my GOTY the year I played Act 3, for the song alone. Have you played Caves of Qud, @brandonseifert.info? It is the game that has consumed most of my gaming hours since its 1.0 release last December. While quite different in many ways, it has similarities to BOTW

There are some artists going the opposite direction and leaning into the horrorshow of it all (I.e. fbetspizza.itch.io/fucksweeper), and those works are for sure interesting but I’ve yet to see one really make a big cultural dent. Time will tell?

I think the reality is that many people making Art with this tech is only using it as one tool in a larger toolbox, and most folks seeing that work are (reasonably) not clocking it for what it is, since it’s a small portion of the work.
