Neon with blue and green phosphors! Phosphors are not as strong as they’d be with other gasses but you can still see it and it’s really rad.

Plasma mystery! 🕵🏻 This concha seems to hold a vacuum and it powers up with a single electrode transformer. However it doesn't power up with transformers for two electrode pieces.

Maybe the path is blocked in the glass? I'm a bit stumped.

I made a backup of this piece in case one went awry, but both made it and I filled this with krypton gas!

I love how twitchy krypton can be. I'm looking forward to adding more phosphors to my work since that adds more color possibilities.

Glass screenprinted an image from an old medical textbook, then lit the whole thing up in neon.

My favorite plasma piece yet! Ever since I saw boro beads in plasma panels I’ve been wanting to experiment with creating a manga/comic book feel. Pretty happy with this one. Hoping to experiment with different characters and expressions.

Day 12 #ArtAdventCalendar is when I got a chance to learn how to make plasma art from Wayne Strattman, one of the OGs of plasma.

I made the glass figures inside and Wayne made the container using a glass lathe and filled. Gas mixture is his secret recipe, what he uses for his giant plasma globes.

Day 6 #ArtAdventCalendar is more fishies!

This is a fused glass panel filled with krypton and argon gas. There are also glass beads in-between that are painted with different color phosphors that glow. Powered with an 8KV transformer. 😎⚡
