Seems like they could have paid for everyone to have solar panels to draw extra hydro from for cheaper.

The amount of waste that could be stopped if companies were mandated to offer repair parts, at low cost, is mindblowing.
Example: The door bins broke on my old fridge and the bins were like $90 each to replace with the same, bad design. To replace them all would be the cost of a new fridge.
