I think it's partly because, at the end of the day...
1. The majority of dems are still from the conservative upper crust with a skewed idea of national opinion
2. Are more focused on pleasing rich (conservative) donors than their constituents.

It's... really hard to look at this country and say it's salvagable playing within its rules when you realize that it was the system working as designed that brought us to this point.
Which doesnt mean we give up. It means we widen our tactics.

But the sheer prevalence of "inconsequential" misinformation also serves to erode trust in everything we see. And thats before we get into those that act as a pipeline to more harmful lies, or can get people hurt.

They will take the win we got in the elections last week and completely reverse momentum. It's such a bad move a saboteur wouldn't have thought of it because it would've been too obvious.
Like, they shouldn't be surprised if it results in riots.

I cannot stand dismissive irony and nonchalance. I love people who are excited and passionate about shit. People who *care.* It makes life brighter.

I absolutely love when its obvious a writer just went full bore into something they dig. No concern for publishability or marketing to trends, just "I like this thing, and if you dont like this sorta thing, read something else." I feel the occult mystery shtick is deep in that.
