“Stupid” downplays the severity of where we are and the actions needed to defeat what’s going on. It’s dangerous. Unacceptable. UnAmerican. But not stupid.

I hope you’re right but how has none of this been leaked already? Given everyone involved in these conversations seems crazy to me that they could keep everyone quiet.

Trump was already President. For four years not that long ago! He dangled carrots then too and delivered on nothing. That’s why he wasn’t re-elected. Does anyone else remember this?!

Why does everyone talk about Trump as if he didn’t just serve a full term as President 5 years ago? Was that a good time? He was awful which is why he wasn’t re-elected. Then a black woman ran and we’re back to “Let’s give Trump a chance - could be good.”

100%. Most people aren’t going to say this out loud or write it into their exit poll response. Instead they opt for economy because it sounds better and makes them feel smart.

Unbelievable. I recall an interview with a woman whose job was to drive a bus around signing up people for the ACA in KY or TN. She said the ACA had saved her life and now she was saving others’ lives. Voted for Trump. I don’t know if they’re trolling us or they’re actually that confused.

I do too but then I watched interviews with Trump voters after the last election who identified reproductive rights as their top issue and said Trump had nothing to do with Roe v Wade being overturned. Will never doubt how low informed people are ever again.
