Just a random stranger on the Internet trying hard to be the person who my dog thinks I am.
Have I been battered by the flood of news so hard that I misread that as AOC and made the assumption that you were referring to the Senators and Representatives who are automatically briefed upon security matters?

Yes, I have.

Link, Dude! Where is the link?

For so it is written: if there be one who is not on Team Bailey, drive them from your sight, for they hast not wisdom and their words shall bring naught but woe and strife.

This is why you don't train industrial robots on current events.

I'm anticipating a return of clay tablets. Durable, inexpensive, and they can't be crawled by tech companies.

There is an implied assumption that your students will recognize those sources as slop. I'm not entirely certain that would universally be the case.

These may be the AI version of the stopped clock. They're occasionally correct, but only because the initial conditions match whatever training dataset has gained primacy. It will be interesting to see if there is recency bias, the opposite, or some tendency to hug the mean.

Thank you so much. I will pass this on.

A friend who read this long ago has asked in what regard it is "catastrophically dated". He remembers the book as being interesting, but the details escape recollection.

I'm now six years older than Peter Ustinov was when he appeared in that movie.

I beat the life clock so long ago that "protein from the sea" is my unofficial motto.

The majority of the non-religious don't believe in Heaven, but sincerely hope there is a Hell.

I couldn't agree more.

We saw a small theater company's adaptation of Julius Caesar, where the characters were all members of a girls' high school soccer team. (More or less, it's best not to think too hard about it.)

The performances and staging were excellent.

Kurt, Bluesky says that you were rude. I say, bless their hearts.

Was SCHOONER one of the excess yield explosions or did they just underestimate how well it would be contained?

^ Dick, not Dock. 🙄
November 4, 2025 at 3:38 PM
With all respect sir, Dock Cheney did not "pass". Beloved friends and family "pass" from this life.

Dick Cheney has been struck from this Earth and if there is justice in the cosmos, he is experiencing torments undreamed of by Hieronymus Bosch.

I could see using politicians' souls for that. They're already small and twisted.

You have entered a new and larger world. +2 to your wisdom.
