The Dragon's Egg Nebula.

This nebula in Norma is close to the famous "Fighting Dragons of Ara" hence its name. Captured from my Bortle 7-8 backyard in Sydney. This received a Highly Commended in the recent Astrophotography Prize & a top-pick on Astrobin: www.astrobin.com/qkmfea/ 🔭 #astrophotography

It was cloudy last night, so this is not the Harvest moon/super-moon, but instead the full moon from last month just before, and during, the total lunar eclipse.
Pentax K-5 DSLR, Skywatcher Esprit 80 with TV 2x Powermate (800mm focal length). The K-5 is over 12 years old now. 🔭 #astrophotography

Yes of course! I'm paying the price now for the lack of sleep (and I've still got telescope & camera pieces strewn everywhere)

Quick snap of this morning's total Lunar #eclipse. Taken with a Samsung Galaxy 21FE smartphone attached to a Skywatcher ED80 with 2x Powermate. 🔭 #astrophotography #bloodmoon

I will probably try and capture tomorrow morning's total #lunareclipse from my backyard. In the meantime, here are a few of my best lunar eclipse images from the last few years. Good luck to everyone planning to view or image the eclipse. 🔭 #astrophotography

Small talk is easy when you're an AI generated representation of a human. For example, you can talk about how you only have four fingers on your left hand. 🙄 Honestly, Google "Discover" serves up some dross. #FuckAI

Fenrir, the Dark Wolf (SL-17).
This dark nebula is named after the monstrous wolf from Norse mythology. I captured this from my Sydney backyard during a batch of good weather in late June. 6 hours of Ha (ALP-T filter), with 30 minutes of colour (L-Pro filter) for the stars. 🔭 #Astrophotography

An outer filament of the Eta Carina Nebula. This is on the South-East edge of the Nebula & is usually excluded from most images of Eta Carina as it won't fit in most fields.
This is a HOO image (Ha & OIII) using an Antlia ALPT filter, Skywatcher MN190 telescope & ZWO 2600mc. 🔭 #astrophotography

And if they're not using this image &/or tying him to Trump at every opportunity, what are they even doing?

Last night's full-moon above (part of) the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This is not the photo I was after - I wanted to catch the Moon rising behind the bridge, but clouds on the horizon stopped that! Just a very quick edit to bring up the dark foreground. Pentax K-5/ED80 1/180s ISO560 🔭 #astrophotography

Rivercat ferry from my upstairs balcony. I used a '420mm telephoto lens' a.k.a. Astro-Tech 65mm EDQ telescope on a Pentax K-5. #photography

Hope you don't mind another one, Robyn?
I bought one of these on ebay for my 20+ year-old, Global knife set. I wasn't sure if it would work but have been very pleasantly surprised. It doesn't require much pressure; you just pull the knife slowly through each of the wheel slots a few times.

The moon one day after first quarter. This was imaged with a Samsung S21 smartphone and a 37 year-old telescope.
This is actually my first astro image of any kind since September last year. Telescope is an 80mm Mak-Cass f10. Stacked the best 25% of 1600 UHD video frames. 🔭 #astrophotography
