Not going to get my hopes up until it merges into "likely" territory.

Which is why these bike streets do allow cars, but as "guests".

If no one who has ever been critical of the then current US government is allowed a visa, who would be left?

With the cold spell of last week in the books (14F as a low), our #heatpump is still holding up just fine, with a linear relationship between power usage and temperature. Statistically, no more than 2 weeks per year should be colder than this.

I recently had to remind myself that I experienced a full eclipse in 2024, and that means that by definition, 2024 for was a good year!
If you're still at the #AGU24 and want to know more about the response of the atmosphere to said eclipse, show up at 11:20 in room 151B!

Excellent example how AI is really good in one thing: Extrapolating data into its most likely (popular?) direction. Just don't go there for new knowledge.
Oh, and do bring your ID on voting Day!

I hadn't seen the probabilistic snow forecasts before, and they seem both extremely useful/accurate and a pretty strong demonstration of Lake effect madness www.weather.gov/cle/winter

We've got Fujitsu H- series. It claims to only start dropping off at 5F. Efficiency goes down the drain when below 0, but it shouldn't shut off, even at -15F.

With the first freezing days (minimum temp 22F/-4C) in the pocket for our #Heatpump, it is still holding up with ease. Temperature in the house stays where it should be, and power consumption remains perfectly linear.

This is the one day that I, as a Clevelander, can fully support the Browns.

Proud that we've released MicroHH 2.0 this week! Together with Bart van Stratum, @chiel1982.bsky.social , and many others, we're now capable of including more processes and boundary conditions to our incredibly fast LES-on-GPU! More info here: github.com/microhh/micr...

The Paris agreement agrees with you. And IIRC, even there the 1.5C was a surprising target that left people scrambling to work it out last minute.

Excellent example. Neighboring 44118 is suddenly merely 44.8th percentile:

The flame thrower has arrived! The first thing I learned is that @josheyler.bsky.social had a more perfectionist 7yo than my 7yo, and I didn't know that was possible.

Our #MicroHH Large Eddy Simulations are absolutely spot on simulating the wind and temperature during the eclipse!

Fantastic to spot the MOSAIC kids book at my local library, and see how in depth it really is

This is a spectacularly good book on Arctic climate and @MOSAiCArctic, casualy staring at me at the local library.

Got a toddler constantly saying hi to Magnus, and a 5yo shouting Let's Go Vikes. Safe to say that the faculty appreciation game made two fans for @csu_basketball
