We have more in common with homeless people vs people that make $10 mil a year.
The twexit debacle is the reason we have not implemented logging in until now. It's always been in the plans to do. With OAuth, we feel comfortable having users log in at this point.
Part of the reason people started using Clearsky in the first place was because of the failures of Twexit.nl to secure people's data. After the Twexit scandal, Clearsky filled the same niche mostly by providing the same infos but without requiring log-in credentials.
We've gotten a lot of questions about the new log in feature. We are committed to your privacy and will never access data we don't need.

In light of the recent information and discussion, once the Bluesky documentation and implementation is complete for OAuth permissions, we will change to the appropriate least permissive set of permissions.
