Let’s talk about what real strength looks like—and how Trump’s MAGA “alpha male” act is the opposite of it. 🧵

Every month my wife and I each pick three movies or shows to watch together. No phones or distractions.

May’s list:
- Andor: Season 2
- Rogue One
- Star Wars: A New Hope
- Thunderbolts*
- Lilo & Stitch (‘02)
- Lilo & Stitch (‘25)

This month had a lot of Sith and Stitches. And the New Avengers.

My wife and I did something different in March. Instead of each choosing three movies to watch, we signed up for BritBox and explored. Highlights include:
- The IT Crowd
- Toast of London
- Man Down
- Death in Paradise

(We miss London.)

Earlier this week, my wife was kind enough to buy me my first 3.75” Star Wars figure in years. It reminded me how much I have enjoyed collecting these since the POTF2 days, so I had to pick up a few more. So much for retirement planning…

@dieworkwear.bsky.social, how do you recommend building a vacation wardrobe? My wife and I are spending a week in London in late-Feb/early Mar, and I want to be able to “dress up” and be comfortable/stylish, depending on the occasion. Thank you for any advice on what staple items I should pack.

Thank you, President Biden. Thank you for your lifetime of service and your example on how to meet adversity with real strength. History will be as kind to you as you were to all of us.

I decided to track my favorite Lego sets and action figures released in 2025, so I guess y’all have that to look forward to in about eleven months.

It was such a joy to see Marvel finally acknowledge Eternals and incorporate its characters into a new story. Having @kumail.bsky.social come back as Kingo and seeing Arishem return in What If made me so happy. Eternals remains my favorite entry in the MCU and its story needs to continue.

I was able to pick up these goodies at @bedrockcity.bsky.social yesterday, specifically their Washington Ave. location. If you’re in the Houston area and are looking for a great comic/collectible store, you should definitely check them out.

My wife has read twenty-one books this year while I have lost count of how many Lego instruction manuals I have made it through. It’s not a competition.

It’s so nice to take a break from the massive anxiety of worrying about the next four years and generational damage about to be done by replacing it with the minor anxiety of worrying if the pizza delivery driver will be able to access my apartment complex.
