A fine tribute, Ben, for a class-act. Nick was an excellent reporter for the WFP. He was missed in the education world when he retired. No doubt he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. R.I.P.

This is truly sad news. Nick was an exceptional education reporter. He took time to understand the complexity of issues and wrote stories in accessible and interesting ways.

I get the list of other emotions, other than 'livid'. It certainly is a sad state of affairs. I am wondering what CNN stood to gain by over generalizing and attributing an unfounded label on Canadians. (other than being eye-catching and generating this kind of response. 🫢)

It is a curious headline. I doubt that Canadians are livid. Most don't even know about it, and those who do are likely as divided on the matter as we are on most topics. It might be better to state that Canadians are honoured.
