I think about that a lot actually as I pursue publication, pursue honing my skills as a writer—this is me trying to reach my real potential. Not back-breaking labour that wrecked my body while paying me poverty wages.

Like, I graduated in 2015 from a writing program that I enjoyed very much and excelled in and then I let my skills atrophy for ten years because whatever is deeply wrong with me just decided to kick in after graduation.
