the drawings (like the one on the right page of the first image) seem to have been added with the third hand, while the ornaments on the title page, headings, and colophon (in the second image) seem to have been added with the second hand, because the colophon appears at the end of that hand’s text.

this is a 15th century sephardi prayer book, which was probably taken to italy from spain during the 1493 expulsion, where it was added to by two different 16th century italian hands (the hand of the marginalia on the left, then that of the right)…

someone seems to have cut out a decorated catchword from this divination handbook (jts 2057). the first photo is the first catchword catchword (f. 10v-11r) and the second is a later one (20v-21r) it’s kinda odd that they chose to take החבוש (‘the prisoner’) over כל (‘all’)
